Award: Up to $25,000 for long-term study abroad
Critical Language Scholarship
Academic Year: Freshman to Senior, Graduate students
Program Focus: Study abroad, language
Award: Fully funded summer immersion language study in languages critical to national security and U.S. engagement with the world
DAAD RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) Germany
Academic Year: Sophomore – Senior
Program Focus: Study abroad, STEM, research
Award: Funded summer STEM-focused research internship in a German lab or institution
Fulbright MITACS-Globalink Canada
Academic Year: Sophomores, Juniors
Program Focus: Study abroad, research
Award: Funded summer research in any discipline at a university in Canada
Gilman International Scholarship
Academic Year: Freshman to Senior
Program Focus: Study abroad
Award: Up to $5000 towards a study or intern abroad program of the student’s choice for students with financial need
Goldwater Scholarship
Academic Year: Sophomores, Juniors
Program Focus: STEM, Research
Award: Up to $7500 per year for up to two years for outstanding STEM students who intend to pursue a career in research
Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (DOD SMART) Scholarship-for-Service Program
Academic Year: Freshman – Juniors, Graduating seniors, Graduate students
Program Focus: STEM
Award: Full tuition, annual stipends, summer internships, and guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense after graduation. For each year of funding that students receive, they are obligated to work for the Department of Defense for that same period of time after graduation
Truman Scholarship
Academic Year: Juniors
Program Focus: Graduate study, Public service
Award: $30,000 towards a graduate program of the student’s choice in the US for students who are planning to have careers in public service
Udall Scholarship
Academic Year: Graduating seniors, Alumni
Program Focus: Graduate study, Study abroad
Award: Up to $7,000 for academic expenses for students who have experience with leadership, public service, and commitment to the environment OR Native American tribal policy and health care
