Award Details
The US-UK Fulbright Commission offers special Summer Institutes for US citizens to participate in a three to six week academic and cultural summer program in the UK. Participants in these programs will get an opportunity to experience an exciting academic program at a highly regarded UK University, explore the culture, heritage, and history of the UK and develop their academic ability by improving presentation, research, and communication skills.
Eligibility
- U.S. Citizens, at least 18 years of age
- Undergraduate students in first or second year; must intend to return to home institution to complete bachelor’s degree
- GPA of 3.7 or higher and otherwise demonstrated academic achievement
- Little or no experience traveling or studying outside of the U.S.
Application Timeline
Early December: Applications open
End of February: Applications close
Early April: Shortlisted candidates notified
Mid-April: Interviews take place
Early May: Finalists announced
